Adding Custom Redirect Links
New to version 2.4 of the Flytonic Theme is the ability to create Custom Affiliate Links that you can easily update and track hits.
Custom redirects allow users to track the links existing on their websites or other third party sites such as links to your twitter page, or the banner ad on the third party website.
A click on a link shows up as the activity on the customer profile. You also get a chance to view the list of the prospects that clicked on a specific link.
When you Should Use the Custom Affiliate Links
Banner ads on the 3rd party websites – You might have to explicitly track the banner add and see the number of visitors and prospects that access it.
Social sharing – Users can share the link on LinkedIn, Twitter and many others and see how they perform.
Also, links to other files that you have not hosted – The website might link to the file on the 3rd party website. The custom redirects will point to them and demonstrate to you the number of visitors who can easily access such files
While the affiliate site panel is great for adding sites and all the info, what if you just want to hide an affiliate link without creating a review page for it?
Now you can add custom redirect links.
Why use redirect links?
- Hide an affiliate url
- To shorten a url
- Track clicks
- To easily change a link site wide without needing to go to all the pages – the actual url is just changed in the redirect links panel.
